АННОТАЦИЯ
Adolescence is characterized by dramatic qualitative changes in the physical, intellectual, personal and spiritual aspects. In the field of intellectual development, there comes a period characterized by maximum resolution due to the maturation of conceptual and metacognitive abilities, which, in turn, is necessary for productive actions in a specific subject area – intellectual competence. Thus, the features of older adolescence are the basis for studying the manifestations of intellectual competence in its potential components, in particular, in the metacognitive abilities that provide the management of human cognitive activity. Study participants: 90 students from secondary schools in Moscow at the age of 15 years. Method: “Conceptual synthesis”, “Methods for diagnosing the degree of development of reflexivity”, “Comparison of similar figures”, “Mindset” and “Interpretation”. According to the results of the study, indicators of intellectual competence selectively correlate with manifestations of conceptual abilities, metacognitive and intentional abilities. The central links of the construct of intellectual competence is represented by abilities, which are characterized by the function of generating a new context, managing their intellectual activity and special intellectual sensitivity. While indicators of involuntary intellectual control do not demonstrate such a strong network connection with indicators of intellectual competence. Thus, there is reason to conclude that the construct of intellectual competence is heterogeneous. The indicated differentiation of the structure of intellectual competence is determined by the functional load and cognitive complexity of the components that make up the concept of the system of intellectual competence.
