АННОТАЦИЯ
Translated from Akusticheskii Zhurnal, Vol. 10, No. 3, pp. 330-334, July-September, 1964 Original article submitted June 25, 1963 The syllable articulation method was used to measure the intelligibility of the singing voice. The existing method was modified to the extent that the singers vocalized rather than spoke from the syllable articulation tables a different predetermined fundamental voice pitches. It was established that singing intelligibility is a maximum at pitches in the medium voice range, falls off somewhat in the low notes, and declines very abruptly at the high notes.
